FireSmart/Work Bee

We are trying to put together a work "B" to clean up the common area behind lot # 14 in which we will require trimmers and some volunteers to help out as well as a BBQ pot luck get together on Saturday July 18th. If there are other area's of concern please let us know so we can add it to the work list. This is also part of the Fire smart initiative so if work needs to be done on your property and need help, let us know. If we can get a response from all interested in being part of the work "B" and/ or the BBQ get together so we can plan the food as we will supply hot dogs and hamburgers. Bring a chair and any food which a list will be made up by Colette on Saturday July 11th when she will come around to get the info on what everyone who is attending will be bringing. It looks like the weather for then should be great and we will confirm all the work being done and where the BBQ will be held once everyone gets back to me with the answers as to if you can be there and to what extent you are willing to participate.

Garden Trading Post

We are also about to start on that Sunday July 19th between 10 am and 4 pm, the Carriage Lane Trading Post which will be a small structure by the side of the pump house in which anyone with a garden and having extra produce can donate their food to this racking for any strata residents to help themselves to items they might need for their use. This will be done on a honor basis for all to take just what they can use and share with our lovely community. We are trying this to further help our own community to be more in touch with all our neighbors in our subdivision( both ends and the middle). This is a pilot project and will hopefully be well received by all especially in these expensive times with mutual respect for helping each other. The extra produce if any is left over can be picked back up at 4 pm by the supplier or I will remove it from the stand and give it to the food bank. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Find the Gnome

Please also comment on if you would like to have the " Find a Gnome - Bring it home" Gnome hunt each week for 10 weeks and a $ 10.00 Grillers bucks prize each week. This is a treasure hunt on common property only in which I will hide several Gnomes with only one being the winning Gnome each week. This is to stop everyone from following me around to watch where Gnomes might be hidden. I would have to be sneaking around at various times of the day( and evening) so don't be alarmed at me being all over the property.... NO Peaking ! This is open to all residents of the subdivision only and for those who are not able to participate due to physical restraints, ask someone to participate for you as all should be able to win. The Gnomes will have to be brought back to me (Unit #7) each week to see if you have got the right one so I can hide them again the following week. One Gnome per person. Got to hope it is the winning one !

Closing remarks

On another note, we are currently working on a proper accessible web site for our community so that these notices, events, current items, forums and information can be easily accessed by all on one convenient location. Please respond to me as quickly as possible on all these items so we can plan properly for the present and future idea's to build community. I hope all are good and having a wonderful summer so far.
