Get to know Brenda Walsh.

Brenda is a University of Alberta graduate. She began her career in physiotherapy in 1986 at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, where her focus was Neurological Rehabilitation and Orthopaedics. She has worked in private practice settings for the past 20 years, including sports medicine clinics and rehabilitation center in BC, Alberta and Australia. It was on her working holiday in Australia Brenda was introduced to Mobilization of the Nervous System, and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, from leading experts in the fields.

Brenda spent 17 years working on beautiful Vancouver Island. During this time she became a resident of the Canadian Academy of Manual Therapists. In 2011, she obtained her certification in Anatomical Acupuncture from AFCI. She pioneered work in physiotherapy in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation in Victoria

Brenda has a special interest in treating Women’s Health disorders. She has specific training in treatment of pelvic floor disorders such as incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain. She enjoys working with pre-natal and post-partum women with low back and pelvic disorders.

Brenda was an avid runner in her 30’s, completing a marathon in 2001. Brenda’s current passions include cross country and downhill skiing, which she’s enjoyed since her childhood; hiking and camping, kayaking, cycling and Latin dance.
